Every now and then I come across a book that makes me feel I can realise my dream of reading one book per week. It’s unputdownable, and I’m more than willing to ditch my phone and email to read it. Currently, the book I’m reading is The Shooting Star, by Shivya Nath. Shivya left her corporate job at age 23 and decided she needed to travel. The Inheritance of Loss isn’t the kind of book I’d pick up on a normal day. I’m quite set in my ways and tend to run to the same authors (like P.G. Wodehouse, Agatha Christie and Ruskin Bond). I suppose it’s to do with staying in my comfort zone. And yet, part of it is because I don’t know what else to read. I recently started working at a publishing house where my primary work is writing about books for their blog. This means I have to read a lot of books-a lot of different
